Fisheries Sector Initiatives: FFPOs and Fishery Cooperatives is an ongoing project run by National Agro Foundation (NAF) in partnership with NCDC, PMMKSSY and PMMSY in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Under NAF's Agri-Business Division, its key interventions include 5 FFPOs under the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and 50 Fishery Cooperatives under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY). It is one of 7 ongoing Agri-Business Division projects.

About this project

NAF is empanelled as a Cluster-Based Business Organisation (CBBO) for promoting Fish Farmer Producer Organisations and Fishery Cooperatives. The work formalises fishery value chains, widens access to institutional credit, and links fishers and fish farmers to markets for value-added fish products, large fish vendors and exporters.

The project is part of NAF’s Agri-Business Division. Turning farmers from producers into entrepreneurs, promoting Farmer Producer Organisations and Fish Farmer Producer Organisations that reach inputs, credit, technology and profitable markets.
